FLIGHT-3 Primary Flight Instrument
The Blaze FLIGHT-3 is a 3 1/8” multi-function color display instrument. The FLIGHT-3 contains all the necessary functionality to replace several primary flight and engine monitoring instruments.
The FLIGHT-3 is an especially good companion with the EMS-2 engine monitor to build a nearly complete primary flight an engine instrumentation system. Just add a compass, and you’re all set for VFR flight!
Features
– Sunlight-readable color display with automatic or manual dimmer control
– Optional External RDAC (Remote Data Acquisition Computer) interfacing via the CAN bus
– HS Version available
– Standard 20-250mph range
– HS 20-320mph
RPM
- Single or dual RPM measurement (Engine and/or Rotor)
Timers
- Displays both UTC (Zulu time) and local time
- Time is maintained by an internal lithium battery which can be replaced by the user
- Includes a settable Hobbs meter which is password protected
- Includes a flight timer that starts with airspeed and RPM or manually via pushbutton
- Includes a programmable maintenance timer for scheduled routine engine maintenance
- Provides a 50 entry flight log that stores the start time and duration of each of the last 50 flights. The flight timer can either be started automatically or by using a front push button
Volts
- Can measure voltages up to 30V (compatible with both 12V and 24V aircraft supplies)
- Contains a programmable low/high voltage alarm to automatically detect alternator failures and bad batteries
- Records maximum and minimum Volts reached in permanent memory
Current
- Uses the MGL Avionics magnetic field or active current shunt to measure the aircrafts current load.
- Records maximum and minimum current reached in permanent memory
OAT
- The MGL Avionics OAT Sensor can be used to add OAT readout and enable TAS and Density Altitude calculations to instrument
Fuel Computer
- Displays fuel quantity via 2 fuel level inputs
- Fuel Flow/Totalizer computer available via connection of compatible fuel flow sender
- TAS or GPS Ground Speed-based calculations of fuel range
- Fuel endurance calculation
Interfaces
